Event Objectives
Operate the ultrasound machine, understanding the setup required to perform the FAST exam, the startup of the machine, choosing the correct probe, and setting the correct exam.
Apply the correctly chosen probe and setup to the patient in order to get the standard views required in the FAST exam.
Interpret the findings conveyed by images brought about by the ultrasound.
Deduce the correct diagnosis or differential diagnosis based on the proper interpretation of the images acquired by the FAST exam.
Realize the strengths and weaknesses of the FAST exam performed to avoid any possible resulting improper patient management.
